Before I get into the real estate photography pricing, I must clarify that I have been doing Real Estate Photography since I started my Masters’s Degree in Prof. Photography back in 2008. I have lived in 5 different states, and I can tell you, these rates are standard from the people who really know what they are doing in real estate photography. I mean The professional real estate photographers. This pricing standard is absolutely not a match to someone who just picks up a camera and watches some youtube videos and starts their real estate business and thinks they are able to satisfy their clients. I only wish the clients to educate themselves with the quality differences and some basics of architectural photography and how much the lens quality and post-processing matter. You do it cheaply, you will have to do it twice. That said,
Below pricing is from a national company that advertises heavily all over the USA for their real estate photography services. Technically they hire a local real estate photographer in charlotte nc whom they have no control over and provide a service to their clients. It’s very important to understand that you guys pay for the services of a company that relies on local photographers they vet. I have personally worked with several of them, and they do edit their own photos which looked horrible and very disappointing. I offered my edit to the customers directly offline to ensure they get the best work, and also I don’t want my work to be seen that way. At the end of the day, the client meets me, not the national company they booked through. I even share this feedback with the national company, because for what they charge from the customer to edit professionally, the output doesn’t reflect that.
Regardless, this pricing is very competitive and I certainly believe these national companies have much more data to validate their real estate photography pricing than any local photographers. Keep reading to find out the differences and value you get.

Worst of all, except for the booking that’s made easy online where you will pay upfront, the rest of the coordination is actually cumbersome.
The delivery process with these companies is terrible, to say the least. The clients were unable to download all the images at once, and they are just one resolution. You have no idea how many times I have had clients want a minimum of two resolutions to upload for the Airbnb or MLS platform, and also they would love to have that high-resolution files. You don’t get two copies.
