A Comfortable Stay in South Charlotte
This WaterWalk unit in the Arrowood area was set up for exactly what most short-term guests need: a comfortable place to sleep, a real kitchen, and room to work. The host chose a calm palette of beige walls and gray furniture, then added deep blue and green accents to keep it from feeling plain.
What the Photos Show
- A living room with a blue velvet sofa, yellow pillows, navy curtains, and a wall-mounted TV
- A second gray sofa with a throw, giving groups more space to relax
- A white kitchen with granite counters, stainless appliances, and a coffee setup
- A dining table with seating for four right next to the kitchen
- A desk with a lamp and globe, handy for business travelers
- Bedrooms with padded gray headboards, white bedding, and blue and green pillows
- A welcome basket with towels tied with a ribbon
Handling Tricky Light
The light on this shoot kept changing as the sun moved in and out, which shifts the color and brightness from one moment to the next. To keep every room consistent, I took more exposures than usual and spent extra time in editing to match them. That extra work is invisible in the final photos, which is exactly the point.
Some hosts design for a bright, modern feel and others go for cozy. Either way, my job as a vacation rental photographer is to make the space look its best while staying true to what guests will find.
