Why Charlotte Pixels
I’m a real estate investor, an Airbnb Superhost, and I’ve been doing architectural photography for 15+ years. When I walk into your space, I already understand what guests are looking for — because I’ve been one.
I take on a limited number of shoots. Whether you found me on Google, through a referral, or a Facebook recommendation — every property gets my full attention, not a rushed turnaround.

Hari did an excellent job photographing my lake house Airbnb. He was professional and fast, and he is truly skilled at capturing a home. I received 3 bookings within two weeks of launching, all thanks to Hari. I’m so impressed by the photos he delivered and would recommend him to anyone!
Local Expertise
I’m Hari, a Lake Norman Airbnb photographer working with lakefront and near-lake rentals all around the lake, from Denver and Sherrills Ford on the west shore to Mooresville, Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville. I’m an Airbnb Superhost, a real estate investor and an architectural photographer with more than 15 years behind the camera.
Lake Norman is the largest lake in North Carolina, with hundreds of miles of shoreline and a short-term rental market to match. Lake houses here compete on the water, the outdoor living and the number of guests they can sleep. If your listing is on or near the water, your photos have to do the heavy lifting.

Summer belongs to groups: families on a lake week, friends planning a boat weekend and multi-generation trips that need beds for everyone.
Spring and fall bring couples, wedding guests and families visiting relatives who want a lake view without peak-season prices.
Year-round, race-industry visitors, corporate travelers and relocating professionals book weekday and monthly stays, especially on the Mooresville and Cornelius side.
Water first: the dock, the slip, the swim ladder and the view from the main living space. Then outdoor living: decks, fire pits, pools and hot tubs. Then the sleeping count, because lake houses book for groups. I shoot in that order and plan the exteriors around the best light on your side of the lake.
Every shoot focuses on your property itself, inside and out, with natural light so rooms look bright and true to life.
Denver’s pool homes and lakefront rentals compete at the top of the market. The listings that stay booked all have one thing in common: photos that make the pool, the view and the space feel real. Curious what a Denver shoot looks like? Take a look at a recent Denver Airbnb photoshoot, where a first-time host found me through ChatGPT.
Mooresville has the most shoreline on the lake and a steady stream of race-team and corporate visitors. Cornelius is the center of the boating and dining scene. Davidson brings college-weekend demand and a busy mid-term market. Huntersville is close to the lake without lake prices. Each town has its own page with local details.
A real estate photographer is selling a house to one buyer. A lake rental has to convince a new group of guests every week. I host short-term rentals myself, so I know which photos people save, which questions they ask and how the order of the images shapes their first impression.
On shoot day I walk your rental the way a guest would, from the front door to the end of the dock, and the final photo order follows that same path.
1. Book a date. Pick a day between turnovers. I’ll suggest a time that puts the best light on your water view.
2. Get the home ready. Follow my guide on how to stage your Airbnb for a photoshoot: clear the counters, make the beds tight, open every blind and tidy the dock.
3. Shoot day. I photograph every room, the exterior, the dock and the outdoor living spaces, plus the details guests love.
4. Delivery. Fully edited photos usually arrive by Dropbox within 24 hours (48 at most), ready for Airbnb, VRBO or your direct-booking site. Payment is due on shoot day, before editing begins.
The dusk exterior is often the photo guests save. Instead of a second evening visit, I create it as a twilight conversion from your daytime shoot: warm windows and an evening sky over the water, with the same or better result at a fraction of the cost.
Pricing is based on square footage. The Pro package is $300 for homes up to 1,000 sq ft, and the Signature package is $825 for homes up to 2,000 sq ft, plus $35 for each additional 100 sq ft. Both include professional editing, with photos usually delivered within 24 hours. Twilight conversion and grass replacement are available as add-ons. Full details are on the pricing page.
If your photos are a few years old, were taken on a phone or don’t do your view justice, new photos are one of the fastest ways to lift clicks and bookings before lake season. For lake events and visitor info, Visit Lake Norman is a good resource. Read what other hosts say below, check the common questions, and book a Lake Norman Airbnb photographer who hosts, too.
The Lake Norman rental market
Summer is peak season, and lake guests choose on water access first: a dock, a boat slip, a swim area, kayaks. On the west shore, Denver’s pool homes and lakefront rentals post some of the highest nightly rates in the Charlotte area, so the pool and the view have to look as good online as they do in person. Off-season, fire pits, hot tubs and cozy interiors carry the listing.

Every question is worth asking. Here are the ones I hear most — answered straight.
I plan the exteriors around when the sun reaches your side of the lake, then photograph the dock, the slip, the deck and the view from the main living space. The goal is for guests to feel the water before they read a word of your listing.
Yes. Twilight conversion turns your best daytime exterior into a warm evening scene with glowing windows and a dusk sky over the water. It is an add-on, so there is no second visit to schedule.
Both the Pro and Airbnb Signature packages: 24–48 hours. Photos are delivered via a Dropbox link — download directly, upload straight to your listing. No chasing, no follow-ups. Payment is due on the day of the shoot before editing begins. Once that’s confirmed, the edit queue starts immediately.
This is one of the most important things you can do before shoot day. Staging matters more than most hosts realize — even the best photography can’t fix a cluttered countertop or a bed that isn’t made properly. The camera sees everything. I wrote a full guide on exactly what to do before I arrive: How to Stage Your Airbnb for a Photoshoot. Read it before your shoot day. Seriously.
Real estate photography is designed to sell a property to a buyer. Airbnb photography is designed to make a guest book before they even finish scrolling. Completely different goals. Real estate wants clean, neutral, and accurate. Airbnb wants warm, inviting, and experiential — it needs to make someone feel like they’re already there. The framing, the lighting approach, the choice of what to include and what to leave out — all of it shifts when the audience is a guest, not a buyer. If your listing looks like an MLS photo, it’s going to compete with every other listing. If it feels like a place someone wants to escape to, it stands alone.
Rather than scheduling a separate twilight shoot — which means more coordination, more time, and more cost — I offer twilight conversion as an add-on. Daytime exterior photos are converted into evening scenes with warm glowing windows and a beautiful sky. The result is realistic, effective, and a fraction of the cost of a separate twilight session.
Every single host I’ve worked with has seen improvement after the shoot. Guests decide in seconds. The photo either stops the scroll or it doesn’t. Professional vacation rental photography isn’t a guarantee, but it removes one of the biggest barriers between a potential guest and a booking. The listing does the selling — you just have to show up. Read more about why it matters.
Head to the booking page and fill out the short form. Takes about two minutes. If you have questions before committing, use the contact form — I get back to you the same day.
I regularly shoot across the entire Charlotte metro: Uptown, Plaza Midwood, NoDa, South End, Ballantyne, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, Lake Norman, Concord, Harrisburg, Kannapolis, Waxhaw, Monroe, Matthews, Mint Hill and Gastonia. I also travel to Statesville, Troutman, Lincolnton and Rock Hill, SC. See the pricing page for details, and if you’re farther out, just ask.
There’s no fixed photo count — because that’s not how I work. The goal is to capture everything your listing needs to tell its story, not hit a number and stop. Smaller properties under the Pro package get complete coverage for the space. Larger homes under the Signature package get every room, every angle, every detail that matters — shot until the property is properly represented. What you won’t get is a set of 20 identical wide-angle frames that all look the same. What you will get is a gallery that covers the space the way a guest would experience it — from the moment they walk in to the corner they’d curl up in on a Sunday morning.
