When it comes to booking an Airbnb, the first thing most people notice are the front elevation and aesthetics —yet sometimes the true value of a place goes way beyond a pretty exterior. My recent shoot took me to a stunning hidden gem right in one of Charlotte’s cozy neighborhoods near uptown. Unlike vacation spots where outdoor scenery is the main draw, this place stands out for its luxurious, welcoming interiors and genuine hospitality and the close proximity to all point of interests.

This Airbnb is perfect for large groups looking for a special stay. The host, who traveled all the way from New York just for our photoshoot, has clearly poured every bit of care into making this place feel like more than just a rental. With help from a talented interior designer, every room is beautifully arranged, with thoughtful pops of color combination and all the essentials travelers need to feel at home.

I’m often asked how many photos I deliver after a shoot. While my website lists a photo count for structure’s sake, I focus more on capturing what really matters: how each space functions and what makes it unique. Sometimes that means several creative angles of the same space, and other times it’s about showing off a spacious living area perfect for a group gathering. For this shoot, it was less about the number of photos, and more about telling the story of each room and how guests will experience it.

The property itself speaks volumes, but it’s the dedication from both the host and the interior designer that truly sets this Airbnb apart. Our conversation about their vision and the journey to make guests feel special reminded me why I love being a professional photographer to do airbnb short term rentals.

—it’s about showing potential guests the real soul behind every listing.
