Why Charlotte Pixels
I’m a real estate investor, an Airbnb Superhost, and I’ve been doing architectural photography for 15+ years. When I walk into your space, I already understand what guests are looking for — because I’ve been one.
I take on a limited number of shoots. Whether you found me on Google, through a referral, or a Facebook recommendation — every property gets my full attention, not a rushed turnaround.

★★★★★ on Google
Excellent photographer! The photos were high quality, communication was great, and Hari really understands Airbnb photography and what makes a listing stand out. Super fast turnaround and speedy delivery as well. Highly recommend!
Local Expertise
I’m Hari, a Matthews Airbnb photographer who makes rentals look like the perfect base for a family visit, a sports weekend or a longer stay near Charlotte. I’m an Airbnb Superhost, a real estate investor and an architectural photographer with more than 15 years behind the camera.
Matthews is a small town on Charlotte’s southeast side, with a historic downtown, the Four Mile Creek Greenway and quick access to I-485 and US 74. It’s a family market first. Guests come to see relatives, to play tournaments at the Matthews Sportsplex and to settle in for work or a move.

Youth sports families arrive in waves on tournament weekends. They need beds for everyone, a washer for uniforms and a place to relax between games.
Families visiting relatives book around holidays, birthdays and graduations, and they want a home that feels like a home.
Travel nurses at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center and relocating professionals often stay a month or more, so the workspace and kitchen matter as much as the bedrooms.
Couples and small groups who want a quieter base than Charlotte, with good restaurants nearby, round out the calendar.
Matthews guests decide quickly, usually from the first five photos. I lead with the space that sells the stay: a bright living room, an open kitchen or a backyard that’s ready for an evening outside. Then every bedroom and bathroom, so groups can plan who sleeps where, followed by the details that show the home is well cared for.
I work with natural light whenever I can, so rooms look true to life. Guests should walk in and find exactly what they saw online.
In a family market, outdoor space is a real selling point. A fenced yard, a fire pit with chairs around it, a grill or a covered patio can be the reason a family picks your rental over the one down the street. When those spaces come with your stay, I photograph them in good light and from angles that show how big and private they are.
Every shoot focuses on your property itself, inside and out.
The fire pit above is from a two-bedroom rental where the backyard did a lot of the selling. See the full set in Cozy 2-Bedroom Airbnb Photoshoot Near Charlotte Airport – Small Space, Big Charm.
I host short-term rentals myself, so I see your listing the way a guest does. I know which photos get saved, which questions guests ask, and which missing shots lead to a three-star surprise. That host’s perspective is what separates Airbnb photography from real estate photography.
Booking me as your Matthews Airbnb photographer takes four steps.
1. Book a date. Pick a day between guests. Before tournament season, book a few weeks early.
2. Get the home ready. Follow my guide on how to stage your Airbnb for a photoshoot: clear the counters, make the beds tight, open every blind and set up the patio.
3. Shoot day. I photograph every room, the exterior and the yard, plus the small touches guests notice.
4. Delivery. Fully edited photos arrive by Dropbox within 24 hours, ready for Airbnb, VRBO or your direct-booking site. Payment is due on shoot day, before editing begins.
An evening exterior with warm windows, or a backyard with the string lights glowing, can become your best cover photo. I create it as a twilight conversion from your daytime shoot, so there’s no second visit.
Pricing is based on square footage. The Pro package is $300 for homes up to 1,000 sq ft, and the Signature package is $825 for homes up to 2,000 sq ft, plus $35 for each additional 100 sq ft. Both include professional editing, with photos usually delivered within 24 hours. Twilight conversion and grass replacement are available as add-ons. Full details are on the pricing page.
As a Matthews Airbnb photographer, I work with hosts in and around downtown Matthews and the historic district, near the Four Mile Creek Greenway and in the neighborhoods off Matthews Township Parkway and John Street. I also cover Mint Hill and rentals all over Charlotte. For an overview of my services, start on my Airbnb photographer home page.
Setting up a new rental? Check the Town of Matthews website for any local rules that apply to your property before you list.
If your photos are a few years old, were taken on a phone or skip the backyard, new photos are one of the fastest ways to lift clicks and bookings. Read what other hosts say below, check the common questions, and book a Matthews Airbnb photographer who hosts, too.

Every question is worth asking. Here are the ones I hear most — answered straight.
Yes. Backyards sell family stays in Matthews. I photograph patios, fire pits, grills, play areas and fenced yards that are part of your rental, timed for good light.
Yes. Sports families travel in groups and compare beds, bathrooms, laundry and space to relax after games. I photograph every sleeping area, the gathering spaces, the laundry and parking so they can see the home works for their group.
Both the Pro and Airbnb Signature packages: within 24 hours. Photos are delivered via a Dropbox link — download directly, upload straight to your listing. No chasing, no follow-ups. Payment is due on the day of the shoot before editing begins. Once that’s confirmed, the edit queue starts immediately.
This is one of the most important things you can do before shoot day. Staging matters more than most hosts realize — even the best photography can’t fix a cluttered countertop or a bed that isn’t made properly. The camera sees everything. I wrote a full guide on exactly what to do before I arrive: How to Stage Your Airbnb for a Photoshoot. Read it before your shoot day. Seriously.
Real estate photography is designed to sell a property to a buyer. Airbnb photography is designed to make a guest book before they even finish scrolling. Completely different goals. Real estate wants clean, neutral, and accurate. Airbnb wants warm, inviting, and experiential — it needs to make someone feel like they’re already there. The framing, the lighting approach, the choice of what to include and what to leave out — all of it shifts when the audience is a guest, not a buyer. If your listing looks like an MLS photo, it’s going to compete with every other listing. If it feels like a place someone wants to escape to, it stands alone.
Rather than scheduling a separate twilight shoot — which means more coordination, more time, and more cost — I offer twilight conversion as an add-on. Daytime exterior photos are converted into evening scenes with warm glowing windows and a beautiful sky. The result is realistic, effective, and a fraction of the cost of a separate twilight session.
Every single host I’ve worked with has seen improvement after the shoot. Guests decide in seconds. The photo either stops the scroll or it doesn’t. Professional vacation rental photography isn’t a guarantee, but it removes one of the biggest barriers between a potential guest and a booking. The listing does the selling — you just have to show up. Read more about why it matters.
Head to the booking page and fill out the short form. Takes about two minutes. If you have questions before committing, use the contact form — I get back to you the same day.
I regularly shoot across the entire Charlotte metro: Uptown, Plaza Midwood, NoDa, South End, Ballantyne, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, Lake Norman, Concord, Harrisburg, Kannapolis, Waxhaw, Monroe, Matthews, Mint Hill and Gastonia. I also travel to Statesville, Troutman, Lincolnton and Rock Hill, SC. See the pricing page for details, and if you’re farther out, just ask.
There’s no fixed photo count — because that’s not how I work. The goal is to capture everything your listing needs to tell its story, not hit a number and stop. Smaller properties under the Pro package get complete coverage for the space. Larger homes under the Signature package get every room, every angle, every detail that matters — shot until the property is properly represented. What you won’t get is a set of 20 identical wide-angle frames that all look the same. What you will get is a gallery that covers the space the way a guest would experience it — from the moment they walk in to the corner they’d curl up in on a Sunday morning.
Let's make your listing the one guests can't stop looking at.
