Why Charlotte Pixels
I’m a real estate investor, an Airbnb Superhost, and I’ve been doing architectural photography for 15+ years. When I walk into your space, I already understand what guests are looking for — because I’ve been one.
I take on a limited number of shoots. Whether you found me on Google, through a referral, or a Facebook recommendation — every property gets my full attention, not a rushed turnaround.

Hari was the best choice for my AirBNB/VRBO photography. I knew I needed someone who understood my needs and Hari demonstrated his expertise immediately. So many chose real estate photographers to do this work, but shooting an AirBNB is not the same at all! Hari captured the personality of our home, was a pleasure to work with and delivered our photos within 24 hours! Since putting up our new photos I’ve already booked several stays. When I asked my guests why they booked they both responded “the photos!” My latest review says the place looks exactly like the photos too! 🙌 You’ve put so much work into your place, why not finish strong and give Hari a call. You won’t regret it!
Local Expertise
I’m Hari, a Davidson Airbnb photographer who helps hosts make their rentals the easy choice for a stay in one of North Carolina’s best-known college towns. I’m an Airbnb Superhost, a real estate investor and an architectural photographer with more than 15 years behind the camera, and I photograph every home with a guest’s eye.
Davidson sits at the north end of Mecklenburg County, on the eastern shore of Lake Norman just off I-77. It has a small-town Main Street, a college at its center and the lake a few minutes away. Rentals here are mostly cottages, in-town homes, lake-area houses and furnished units for longer stays, and each one competes with a short list of polished options nearby.

Davidson’s calendar runs on Davidson College. Move-in, family weekends, homecoming, athletics and commencement fill rentals fast, and parents often book months ahead. They want a comfortable, quiet place where the whole family can stay together.
Between those weekends, the town draws couples on short getaways, lake visitors who want a calmer base than the busier marinas, wedding guests and visiting faculty or speakers.
Davidson also has a steady mid-term market. Travel nurses, relocating professionals and families between homes stay for a month or more, and they read every line of a listing. A real workspace, a full kitchen and laundry matter to them as much as the living room.
Davidson guests compare a small number of well-kept listings, so details carry real weight. I lead with the space that sells the stay: the main living area, a bright kitchen or a porch that invites guests to slow down. Then every bedroom and bathroom, so families can plan who sleeps where.
For longer stays I photograph the parts weekend guests skip: the desk and chair, the washer and dryer, closet space and a kitchen set up for real cooking. Those shots answer the questions mid-term guests would otherwise send you before booking.
I work with natural light whenever I can, so rooms look bright and true to life. Guests should walk in and find exactly what they saw online.
One recent Davidson project was a furnished home set up for travel nurses and relocating professionals. The goal was to show a calm, practical place to live for a few months, not just a pretty weekend stay. See how it came together in Exceptional Mid-Term Rental for Travel Nurses and Relocating Professionals in Davidson, NC.
Real estate photos are made to sell a house once. Airbnb photos have to keep earning bookings, season after season. I host short-term rentals myself, so I know which photos guests linger on and which details they ask about before they book.
That host’s eye shapes every shoot. I look for the corner where a parent would drink coffee on graduation morning, the desk a traveling nurse would actually use, and the angle that shows a small cottage has more room than guests expect.
Working with me as your Davidson Airbnb photographer is straightforward.
1. Book a date. Pick a day between guests. If your calendar fills up around college events, book a few weeks ahead.
2. Prepare the home. Use my guide on how to stage your Airbnb for a photoshoot to clear the counters, make the beds tight and open every blind.
3. Shoot day. I photograph every room, the exterior and any porch, patio or yard that comes with the stay, plus the small details that show the home is cared for.
4. Delivery. Fully edited photos usually arrive by Dropbox within 24 hours (48 at most), ready for Airbnb, VRBO, Furnished Finder or your own website. Payment is due on shoot day, before editing begins.
Many Davidson rentals are older homes near campus and Main Street, with porches, original floors and rooms that were built long before open floor plans. I photograph them with patient light and natural angles, so the character comes through without making rooms look bigger than they are.
Guests who book these homes are looking for charm, so I give the details their own frames: a front porch with rocking chairs, a built-in bookshelf, a claw-foot tub. Those are often the photos that make a family pick your place for graduation weekend.
A warm evening exterior makes a strong cover photo, especially for cottages and older homes. Instead of a second visit at dusk, I offer twilight conversion: I turn a daytime exterior into a natural-looking evening scene with glowing windows and a soft sky.
Pricing is based on square footage. The Pro package is $300 for homes up to 1,000 sq ft, and the Signature package is $825 for homes up to 2,000 sq ft, plus $35 for each additional 100 sq ft. Both include professional editing, with photos usually delivered within 24 hours. Twilight conversion and grass replacement are available as add-ons. Full details are on the pricing page.
As a Davidson Airbnb photographer, I work with hosts all over town, from homes near Main Street and the college to River Run, McConnell and the neighborhoods closer to the lake. Every shoot focuses on your property itself: the interiors, the exterior and your outdoor spaces. I also cover nearby Huntersville, Cornelius and Mooresville, plus the wider Lake Norman area.
Planning a new rental? Check the Town of Davidson website for any local rules that apply to your property before you list.
If your photos are a few years old, were taken on a phone or don’t show what makes your place special, new photos are one of the quickest ways to lift clicks and bookings before the next big college weekend. Read what other hosts say below, look through the common questions, and book a Davidson Airbnb photographer who hosts, too.
The Davidson rental market
Davidson College events fill rentals around move-in, family weekends and commencement, and the town has a steady mid-term market of travel nurses and relocating professionals. Guests want a quiet, polished stay, so bedrooms, workspace and kitchen lead the photos.

Every question is worth asking. Here are the ones I hear most — answered straight.
Yes. Mid-term guests like travel nurses and relocating professionals read listings closely, so I photograph the workspace, kitchen, laundry and storage along with every bedroom and living space. The photos work on Airbnb, VRBO and Furnished Finder.
Book a few weeks before the busy stretches, like move-in, family weekend and commencement. Photos usually arrive within 24 hours of the shoot, so your updated listing can be live well before parents start searching.
Both the Pro and Airbnb Signature packages: 24–48 hours. Photos are delivered via a Dropbox link — download directly, upload straight to your listing. No chasing, no follow-ups. Payment is due on the day of the shoot before editing begins. Once that’s confirmed, the edit queue starts immediately.
This is one of the most important things you can do before shoot day. Staging matters more than most hosts realize — even the best photography can’t fix a cluttered countertop or a bed that isn’t made properly. The camera sees everything. I wrote a full guide on exactly what to do before I arrive: How to Stage Your Airbnb for a Photoshoot. Read it before your shoot day. Seriously.
Real estate photography is designed to sell a property to a buyer. Airbnb photography is designed to make a guest book before they even finish scrolling. Completely different goals. Real estate wants clean, neutral, and accurate. Airbnb wants warm, inviting, and experiential — it needs to make someone feel like they’re already there. The framing, the lighting approach, the choice of what to include and what to leave out — all of it shifts when the audience is a guest, not a buyer. If your listing looks like an MLS photo, it’s going to compete with every other listing. If it feels like a place someone wants to escape to, it stands alone.
Rather than scheduling a separate twilight shoot — which means more coordination, more time, and more cost — I offer twilight conversion as an add-on. Daytime exterior photos are converted into evening scenes with warm glowing windows and a beautiful sky. The result is realistic, effective, and a fraction of the cost of a separate twilight session.
Yes — you can use them anywhere you’re listing your property. The photos are licensed for your use as the direct client across Airbnb, VRBO, Hipcamp, your own website, and anywhere else you’re marketing the listing. No restrictions on platforms.
Head to the booking page and fill out the short form. Takes about two minutes. If you have questions before committing, use the contact form — I get back to you the same day.
I regularly shoot across the entire Charlotte metro: Uptown, Plaza Midwood, NoDa, South End, Ballantyne, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, Lake Norman, Concord, Harrisburg, Kannapolis, Waxhaw, Monroe, Matthews, Mint Hill and Gastonia. I also travel to Statesville, Troutman, Lincolnton and Rock Hill, SC. See the pricing page for details, and if you’re farther out, just ask.
There’s no fixed photo count — because that’s not how I work. The goal is to capture everything your listing needs to tell its story, not hit a number and stop. Smaller properties under the Pro package get complete coverage for the space. Larger homes under the Signature package get every room, every angle, every detail that matters — shot until the property is properly represented. What you won’t get is a set of 20 identical wide-angle frames that all look the same. What you will get is a gallery that covers the space the way a guest would experience it — from the moment they walk in to the corner they’d curl up in on a Sunday morning.
