This home immediately slows you down—in the best way possible. Tucked away in the woods, surrounded by quiet and greenery, it feels private without feeling isolated. You’re close to parks and walking trails, yet still minutes from UNCC and Charlotte, which honestly feels like cheating the system a little. Nature outside, city access when you want it.

Inside, the natural light does all the heavy lifting. Large windows let sunlight pour through the house, bouncing off every surface and giving each room that calm, airy feel photographers secretly dream about. The furniture choices are thoughtful and comfortable, nothing loud or forced. Even the handrail deserves a pause—it’s one of those details you don’t expect to notice, but once you do, you appreciate the craftsmanship.

The front porch is a whole vibe on its own. Plenty of seating, peaceful views, and that quiet-you-can-hear-the-trees kind of atmosphere. Add in generous parking, clean outdoor spaces, and a layout that feels warm and modern without trying too hard, and you’ve got a home that’s incredibly inviting from every angle.

Places like this don’t always scream for attention—but once you’re inside, you realize how special they really are. Close to UNCC, close to Charlotte, and wrapped in calm, this home quietly proves that modern design and nature can absolutely coexist.

Letting the natural light lead

With windows this big, the job was mostly to stay out of the way. I timed the interiors for steady daylight and balanced each frame so the trees outside stay visible through the glass instead of turning white. That keeps the connection to the woods in every room, which is the whole point of this home.

Photographing the layout room by room

The open main floor needed wide shots that show the living room, the fireplace and the dining table together, then tighter frames for the kitchen with its dark cabinets and stainless appliances. Upstairs, each bedroom got a symmetrical shot of the bed and nightstands. A desk set up by the window made a good secondary frame for guests who need to work, which matters this close to UNCC.

Details worth noticing

  • Teal curtains and pillows that tie the bedrooms together.
  • A dark slatted accent wall behind the TV in the living room.
  • A walk-in shower with dark stone tile and a lit vanity mirror.
