This client never fails to impress me. Every time I walk into one of their properties, I’m struck by the soothing, welcoming earth tones that instantly make you feel at home. This particular Airbnb is no exception. Located in a large apartment complex, it offers both privacy and a wealth of amenities. The apartment itself is incredibly quiet, featuring a comfy bed, a modern aesthetic, and a beautiful patio perfect for relaxation.
What really stood out to me was the attention to detail. When a host creates a space so thoughtfully that I don’t want to miss capturing even a single wall, it truly makes my day. There wasn’t a single void space in this Airbnb, and it was an absolute pleasure to photograph it.
Photographing a calm, earth-toned apartment
This apartment is built on soft neutrals: cream sofas, light wood cabinets and dressers, woven baskets, olive and sand textiles, and plenty of plants. Neutral palettes can look flat in photos, so I relied on the daylight from the big windows to give each room depth, and I kept the white balance warm enough to match how the space actually feels.
The open living and dining area got wide shots from both ends, showing the sectional, the glass coffee table, the TV on its wood console and the dining table by the window.
The bedroom and the balcony
The bedroom has a woven-texture bedspread, a cream accent chair, a cane-front dresser and a hanging rattan egg chair by the window, which I gave its own frame because it is the kind of spot guests remember. The covered balcony with seating, a small table and a view into the trees adds an outdoor space that apartment guests appreciate.
Details worth a close-up
- Framed botanical prints and a greenery garland on a wall mirror.
- A textured white wall panel above the bed.
- Stacked books and decor on the dresser.
