I usually stick to a certain mile radius for my Airbnb shoots, unless something really catches my eye. This time, it was the proximity to the brand-new casino under construction—a huge deal for the charlotte region. So, I made the trip. And wow, the casino is massive, right at the exit. You’d think the house would be far, but it’s actually just across the street. From the porch, I had a clear, unobstructed view of the entire new casino in kings mountain.

What makes this place truly special is its corner lot location, with a huge front yard, backyard, and a side yard. The home itself is a fully renovated ranch, rebuilt from the studs up to keep everyone connected while they stay. It features three beautiful bedrooms, two full bathrooms—one a convenient Jack and Jill setup—and a laundry area.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need, but here’s the best part: you won’t even have to drive. Party at the casino all night, enjoy the moonlight, and just walk back home.

The host is incredibly caring and kind, which really shows in the details. It was a real pleasure capturing this lovely short term rental—one that’s ready to welcome guests with comfort and charm.

How I photographed the renovated ranch
A renovation “from the studs up” is something guests can feel, and the photos should show it. The kitchen is the centerpiece: black cabinets, white quartz counters, open wood shelves, pendant lights and a long island with stools. I shot it from both ends so the full length of the space reads clearly, and kept the white counters bright without losing detail.
The living room has a dark sofa, blue accent chairs and tall curtains, with an arched mirror that adds a little drama. Off the main living area there is a bright sunroom with seating, which I photographed looking back into the house so guests can see how it connects.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Each bedroom got a symmetrical frame with matching lamps on both sides of the bed. One has bold black-and-white bedding; another uses gold curtains and a yellow accent pillow. I also photographed the Jack and Jill bathroom and the stacked washer and dryer, since laundry is a deciding factor for longer stays.
Details guests notice
- Gold lamps with built-in USB charging on the nightstands.
- A power strip with USB ports right by the bed.
- A coffee maker set up on the kitchen counter.
