Why Charlotte Pixels
I’m a real estate investor, an Airbnb Superhost, and I’ve been doing architectural photography for 15+ years. When I walk into your space, I already understand what guests are looking for — because I’ve been one.
I take on a limited number of shoots. Whether you found me on Google, through a referral, or a Facebook recommendation — every property gets my full attention, not a rushed turnaround.

Hari was an absolute delight to work with! My husband and I hired him to take photos of our 1st Airbnb and we couldn’t be more pleased with how they came out. He is so detail oriented and clearly cares about not only each photo he takes, but also the relationships he builds with his clients. Our photos turned out amazing and he absolutely went above and beyond! He also gave us a ton of great advice as we get started in this business. We are so grateful to have met him and would definitely hire him again in the future! We would recommend him to anyone looking for Airbnb photos with that extra special touch.
Local Expertise
I’m Hari, a Cornelius Airbnb photographer who helps hosts turn lake-area rentals into the obvious pick for a Lake Norman getaway. I’m an Airbnb Superhost, a real estate investor and an architectural photographer with more than 15 years behind the camera, so I photograph your rental the way guests will judge it.
Cornelius sits on the eastern shore of Lake Norman, between Huntersville and Davidson along I-77. Short-term rentals here range from waterfront homes with private docks to lake-access condos and family houses a few minutes from the water. Whatever kind of place you host, guests compare it against dozens of similar listings, and they decide from the photos.

Cornelius guests usually travel in groups, and each group is looking for something specific.
Friends planning a boat weekend want to know how many people sleep comfortably and how quickly they can get to the water.
Bachelorette and birthday groups look for a big gathering space, a kitchen island everyone can crowd around and a few corners worth photographing themselves.
Families booking a summer week check for bunk rooms, a yard and a layout that gives parents a little quiet.
Visiting parents and alumni come for events at nearby Davidson College, and remote workers on the I-77 corridor stay for weeks at a time.
Peak season runs from late spring through Labor Day, so the photos that go live before summer do the heaviest lifting all year.
The first five photos carry most of the decision. For a Cornelius listing, I start with whatever sells the trip: the dock and the lake view from inside if you’re on the water, or the best gathering space and outdoor living if you’re not. Then the sleeping count, room by room, so groups can see exactly where everyone fits. The kitchen, every bathroom and a few detail shots round out the set.
I shoot with natural light whenever possible, so rooms look bright and honest. Guests should arrive to the same home they saw online. That’s how listings earn five-star reviews instead of surprised ones.
Not every Cornelius rental sits on the shoreline, so as a Cornelius Airbnb photographer I build the shot list around your property.
Waterfront homes: the dock, the slip, the deck and the view from the main living space, with exteriors timed for the best light on your side of the lake.
Condos and townhomes: smaller spaces need careful angles so they read as open and comfortable, plus any private balcony or patio that’s part of the stay.
Off-water family homes: the yard, the fire pit, the game room and anything else that makes the house the place to be after a day on the lake.
Whatever the property, every shoot focuses on your rental itself, inside and out.
One of my favorite Cornelius projects was a three-bedroom, two-bath rental full of personality: board-and-batten accent walls, unique furniture and warm, layered decor. The goal was to let guests feel that style before they ever arrived. See the full set in Capturing the Charm: Inside Cornelius’s Premier Airbnb Rental.
A real estate photographer is trying to sell a house to one buyer. An Airbnb photo has to help a group of strangers picture their weekend. I host my own short-term rentals, so I know which details guests ask about and which photos answer those questions before they ever message you.
On shoot day I walk your rental the way a guest would: the front door, the first view, where the bags go and where everyone ends up at night. The photo order follows that same path, so your listing tells the story of a stay instead of showing a random set of rooms.
Working with me as your Cornelius Airbnb photographer takes four simple steps.
1. Book a date. Pick a time that fits between turnovers, and I’ll suggest the time of day with the best light for your home.
2. Get the home ready. Follow my guide on how to stage your Airbnb for a photoshoot: clear the counters, make the beds tight and open every blind.
3. Shoot day. I photograph every room, the exterior and the outdoor spaces, plus the small details that make the stay feel cared for.
4. Delivery. Fully edited photos usually arrive by Dropbox within 24 hours (48 at most), ready for Airbnb, VRBO or your direct-booking site. Payment is due on shoot day, before editing begins.
A dusk exterior with glowing windows is often the photo guests save. Instead of a second evening visit, I offer twilight conversion: I turn your daytime exterior into a natural-looking evening scene. You get the shot without paying for another trip. It is one of the most requested add-ons for Cornelius lake homes.
Pricing is based on square footage. The Pro package is $300 for homes up to 1,000 sq ft, and the Signature package is $825 for homes up to 2,000 sq ft, plus $35 for each additional 100 sq ft. Both include professional editing, with photos usually delivered within 24 hours. Twilight conversion and grass replacement are available as add-ons. Full details are on the pricing page.
As a Cornelius Airbnb photographer, I work all across town, from The Peninsula and Antiquity to Old Town Cornelius and the homes along Jetton Road. Next door, I also cover Huntersville, Davidson and Mooresville, plus the whole Lake Norman area. If you host more than one property, one photographer keeps all your listings consistent.
Setting up a new rental? Check the Town of Cornelius website for any local rules that apply to your property before you list.
If your photos are a few years old, were taken on a phone or miss what makes your place special, new photos are one of the fastest ways to lift clicks and bookings before lake season. Read what other hosts say below, check the common questions, and book a Cornelius Airbnb photographer who hosts, too.
The Cornelius rental market
Cornelius is the heart of Lake Norman’s boating scene. Groups book for boat weekends, celebrations and summer family weeks, so sleeping count, outdoor living and easy access to the water lead the photos.

Every question is worth asking. Here are the ones I hear most — answered straight.
Yes, as long as they are part of your property. I photograph the dock, the slip, the deck and the view from inside the home, and I time the exteriors for the best light on your side of the lake. Twilight conversion is available as an add-on for a warm evening version of your best exterior.
Yes. Smaller rentals get the same care as lake houses. I use careful angles so the space reads as bright and open, photograph every sleeping area, and include any private balcony or patio that comes with the stay. Units up to 1,000 sq ft fit the $300 Pro package.
Both the Pro and Airbnb Signature packages: 24–48 hours. Photos are delivered via a Dropbox link — download directly, upload straight to your listing. No chasing, no follow-ups. Payment is due on the day of the shoot before editing begins. Once that’s confirmed, the edit queue starts immediately.
This is one of the most important things you can do before shoot day. Staging matters more than most hosts realize — even the best photography can’t fix a cluttered countertop or a bed that isn’t made properly. The camera sees everything. I wrote a full guide on exactly what to do before I arrive: How to Stage Your Airbnb for a Photoshoot. Read it before your shoot day. Seriously.
Real estate photography is designed to sell a property to a buyer. Airbnb photography is designed to make a guest book before they even finish scrolling. Completely different goals. Real estate wants clean, neutral, and accurate. Airbnb wants warm, inviting, and experiential — it needs to make someone feel like they’re already there. The framing, the lighting approach, the choice of what to include and what to leave out — all of it shifts when the audience is a guest, not a buyer. If your listing looks like an MLS photo, it’s going to compete with every other listing. If it feels like a place someone wants to escape to, it stands alone.
Rather than scheduling a separate twilight shoot — which means more coordination, more time, and more cost — I offer twilight conversion as an add-on. Daytime exterior photos are converted into evening scenes with warm glowing windows and a beautiful sky. The result is realistic, effective, and a fraction of the cost of a separate twilight session.
Every single host I’ve worked with has seen improvement after the shoot. Guests decide in seconds. The photo either stops the scroll or it doesn’t. Professional vacation rental photography isn’t a guarantee, but it removes one of the biggest barriers between a potential guest and a booking. The listing does the selling — you just have to show up. Read more about why it matters.
Head to the booking page and fill out the short form. Takes about two minutes. If you have questions before committing, use the contact form — I get back to you the same day.
I regularly shoot across the entire Charlotte metro: Uptown, Plaza Midwood, NoDa, South End, Ballantyne, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, Lake Norman, Concord, Harrisburg, Kannapolis, Waxhaw, Monroe, Matthews, Mint Hill and Gastonia. I also travel to Statesville, Troutman, Lincolnton and Rock Hill, SC. See the pricing page for details, and if you’re farther out, just ask.
There’s no fixed photo count — because that’s not how I work. The goal is to capture everything your listing needs to tell its story, not hit a number and stop. Smaller properties under the Pro package get complete coverage for the space. Larger homes under the Signature package get every room, every angle, every detail that matters — shot until the property is properly represented. What you won’t get is a set of 20 identical wide-angle frames that all look the same. What you will get is a gallery that covers the space the way a guest would experience it — from the moment they walk in to the corner they’d curl up in on a Sunday morning.
