Airbnb Photographer in Charlotte Uptown: Capturing Timeless Short-Term Rentals

It’s always special to work with a past client, and this photoshoot was no exception. This time, it was for League 704, a client I first met by what I can only describe as destiny. Back when I began my real estate journey with no money but an eagerness to get started, this was the very first person I ran into and had a great conversation in the airbnb space.

Photographing an Uptown apartment with a strong palette

This apartment is built around a consistent palette of burnt orange, navy and soft cream, and that consistency is a gift in photos. In one bedroom, painted arches in orange and blue sit behind a white iron bed. In another, a large abstract mural in the same colors fills the wall. The living room repeats the theme with orange and teal accent chairs, a gray sofa with orange pillows and a trio of framed prints.

I kept color accurate in every frame, so the oranges stay warm and the blues stay deep, and the whole gallery reads as one well-designed home.

Making an apartment feel open

Apartments can look tight in photos if the angles are wrong. I shot the living room from the corner opposite the windows, so the floor-to-ceiling light and the open layout come through, and I framed the kitchen from the living area to show the island seating, wood cabinets, mosaic backsplash and stainless appliances in one view. The dining table by the windows got its own frame because it doubles as a workspace.

Details worth a close-up

  • Brass table lamps and trailing plants on the nightstands.
  • Floating shelves with small framed art above the dining table.
  • A colorful area rug that ties the living room together.
