Short-Term Rental Photographer for Duplex Properties: Capturing Cozy and Charming Spaces

I recently had the pleasure of working with a new client who comes from a creative background in videography. With such experience, it’s no surprise that the interior design of these short-term rental duplex units was exceptional. The spaces were thoughtfully curated, offering a cozy ambiance, plenty of entertainment options, and comfortable bedding that perfectly balanced relaxation and play.

This shoot involved capturing two units at different locations on the same day, each with its own unique charm. Both properties showcased the client’s attention to detail, making the spaces feel inviting and warm for potential guests. From the well-decorated interiors to the entertainment setups, every corner had something special to highlight.

I thoroughly enjoyed photographing these beautiful properties and showcasing their unique appeal. I hope these images bring out the cozy, charming vibe of the duplexes as much as I enjoyed capturing them. If you’re a short-term rental owner looking to elevate your listings with professional photography, I’d love to work with you!

Two units, one consistent style

Shooting two duplex units on the same day meant keeping the look consistent so both listings feel like they come from the same thoughtful host. Both units share a palette of navy curtains, soft gray sofas and bright abstract art, and I kept white balance and exposure the same across the two sets so they match side by side.

Rooms built for fun and for work

One bedroom is set up for kids or friends, with a bunk bed, skateboard decks on the wall and two arcade cabinets. Another has a queen bed with a navy throw and a desk with a mesh chair and a mint-green lamp, which I gave its own frame for guests who need to work. The living rooms got wide shots that show the sectional, the TV and the staircase, so guests can see the layout of each unit.

Details worth a close-up

  • A dining table with a white orchid in front of the kitchen.
  • A round wood wall shelf with small plants above the TV console.
  • Embroidered makeup towels on the bathroom counter.
  • A remote and a planter on the coffee table.

If you host a duplex or several units, consistent photos across all of them help your listings look like one professional operation. See how I approach Airbnb photography in Charlotte or check the packages and pricing.
