Charlotte, NC, offers a thriving vacation rental market, and capturing these spaces in their best light is key to attracting guests. This recent full-house vacation rental photoshoot was no exception. This airbnb vacation property was thoughtfully decorated with all the essentials and featured plenty of natural light, stunning wallpapers, and a welcoming front elevation that immediately draws you in.

The highlight of this home was undoubtedly the game room. Packed with fun games to keep guests entertained, it’s the perfect spot for anyone looking to unwind during their stay in Charlotte. To capture the full ambiance, I used a single-exposure technique to showcase the room in various lighting combinations—LED lights, ceiling lights, and the natural light pouring in from all angles. This approach highlighted the room’s versatility, making it ideal for guests seeking any type of vibe.

As a vacation rental photographer in Charlotte, NC, my goal is to create images that tell the story of a space and its unique features. If you’re looking to showcase your property in a way that highlights its charm and attracts bookings, let’s work together to bring your vacation rental to life through professional photography.

Photographing a game room under mixed light
The game room has deep navy walls, purple LED strips, neon signs, a starburst chandelier, a poker table and a shuffleboard-style table. Rooms like this are hard to photograph because each light source has a different color. I photographed it in a few lighting combinations, from all the LEDs on to mostly daylight, so the host could choose the mood that best fits the listing. Guests looking for a party house and guests looking for a quiet game night both see something that speaks to them.
The rest of the home
The rest of the house is calm by comparison, which makes the game room pop even more in the gallery. The dining room has a bold leaf-pattern wallpaper behind a wood table set with placemats and a round mirror, and I framed it from the living room so guests see how the spaces connect. The kitchen has white cabinets, black counters, a mosaic backsplash and stainless appliances, with a skylight that floods it with natural light.
Bedrooms with a coastal feel
The bedrooms lean coastal, with soft blue walls, ocean prints above the beds and matching lamps on both nightstands. I shot each straight on and added a second angle where the room has a desk or extra seating.
