Why Charlotte Pixels

You're not
just hiring a photographer

I’m a real estate investor, an Airbnb Superhost, and I’ve been doing architectural photography for 15+ years. When I walk into your space, I already understand what guests are looking for — because I’ve been one.

I take on a limited number of shoots. Whether you found me on Google, through a referral, or a Facebook recommendation — every property gets my full attention, not a rushed turnaround.

Charlotte Pixels Reviews

Don’t think twice, worth every penny.

Hari was great. Utilized his signature package. On time, professional, and knew exactly how to make my clients properties shine. At Stayvanah, a design and cohosting firm in Charlotte NC, I’ve trialed many photographers but for short term rentals there’s no one I’d use over Hari. The attention to detail is unmatched.

Don’t think twice, worth every penny.

Local Expertise

Airbnb photography in Charlotte

I’m Hari, a Charlotte short term rental photographer who has photographed condos, bungalows, duplexes and family homes in nearly every corner of the city. I’m an Airbnb Superhost, a real estate investor and an architectural photographer with more than 15 years behind the camera.

Charlotte is the biggest short-term rental market in the region, and the most competitive. Business travelers, airport stays, game and concert weekends, celebrations and long relocations all compete for the same listings, and guests scroll past dozens of options in every neighborhood. Your photos decide whether they stop on yours.

Who books short-term rentals in Charlotte

Business travelers fill weekdays in Uptown and South End. They want a good bed, a real desk, fast Wi-Fi and a quick ride to the office.

Weekend groups come for Panthers and Charlotte FC games, concerts and bachelorette parties. They compare sleeping count, gathering space and how easy it is to get around.

Airport stays near CLT, UNC Charlotte families in University City, and travel nurses and relocating professionals on monthly stays make up the rest of a busy year-round market.

What a Charlotte short term rental photographer should capture

The right first photo depends on who you host. For business guests, I lead with a bright bedroom and a clean workspace. For groups, the main living area and the number of beds come first. For a historic bungalow or a design-forward home, the character shot leads, whether that’s an original fireplace, a statement kitchen or a porch in soft light.

After that comes every bedroom and bathroom, the kitchen and the details that show the stay is cared for. I work with natural light whenever possible, so rooms look bright and true to life.

From Uptown condos to Plaza Midwood bungalows

Condos and studios: small spaces need careful lens heights and angles so they read as open without looking stretched. See how that works in Airbnb Photography for Uptown Charlotte Studio Apartments – Small Spaces, Big Character.

Historic homes and cottages: Dilworth, Plaza Midwood and NoDa are full of rentals with real character. A good example is Way Back Cottage – Airbnb Photography in Plaza Midwood Charlotte NC.

Duplexes and ADUs: each unit needs to stand on its own in its listing. One example is Duplex Short-Term Rental Photoshoot Near Uptown Charlotte.

Large family homes: outer neighborhoods like Mallard Creek and University City suit groups and longer stays, as in Single Family 5 Bedroom Airbnb Photoshoot in Charlotte NC – Modern Living in Mallard Creek.

Every shoot focuses on your property itself, inside and out.

Why hire a Charlotte short term rental photographer who hosts

I host my own short-term rentals in Charlotte, so I know this market from the guest’s side and the host’s side. I see which photos lead to bookings, which gaps lead to messages, and which listings get lost in the scroll. Real estate photography isn’t built for that; Airbnb photography should be.

On shoot day I walk your rental the way a guest would, from the front door to the bedroom, and I order the final photos along that same path.

How a Charlotte shoot works

Working with me as your Charlotte short term rental photographer takes four simple steps.

1. Book a date. Pick a day between turnovers. I’ll suggest the best time of day for your home’s light.

2. Get the home ready. Follow my guide on how to stage your Airbnb for a photoshoot: clear the counters, make the beds tight and open every blind.

3. Shoot day. I photograph every room, the exterior and the outdoor spaces, plus the details guests love.

4. Delivery. Fully edited photos usually arrive by Dropbox within 24 hours (48 at most), ready for Airbnb, VRBO, Furnished Finder or your own site. Payment is due on shoot day, before editing begins.

Standing out in a crowded Charlotte market

In a city with thousands of listings, your cover photo is competing in a grid of near-identical thumbnails. I help you choose an opening image that reads clearly at small sizes: a bright, uncluttered room or a strong exterior, not a busy wide shot.

From there, the order of your photos should answer guest questions in sequence: where they will sleep, where they will relax, where they will work and how they will get in. Every photo I deliver is edited and ready to upload, with captions you can adapt for Airbnb and VRBO.

Twilight conversion for Charlotte homes

A dusk exterior with glowing windows helps a listing stand out in a crowded search. I create it as a twilight conversion from your daytime shoot, so you get the shot without an evening visit.

How much does a Charlotte short term rental photographer cost?

Pricing is based on square footage. The Pro package is $300 for homes up to 1,000 sq ft, and the Signature package is $825 for homes up to 2,000 sq ft, plus $35 for each additional 100 sq ft. Both include professional editing, with photos usually delivered within 24 hours. Twilight conversion and grass replacement are available as add-ons. Full details are on the pricing page.

Charlotte neighborhoods I photograph

I work with hosts across the city: Uptown, South End, Wilmore, Dilworth, Myers Park, Plaza Midwood, NoDa, Commonwealth, University City, Mallard Creek, the neighborhoods near CLT and south toward Ballantyne. Outside the city, I also cover Huntersville and the Lake Norman area. For an overview of everything I offer, start on my Airbnb photographer home page.

Common Questions

Questions hosts in Charlotte ask

Every question is worth asking. Here are the ones I hear most — answered straight.

Yes, without misleading guests. I use careful lens heights and angles so small spaces read as open without distortion, and I photograph what business guests care about most: the bed, the workspace and the kitchen.

All of them. I regularly shoot in Uptown, South End, Wilmore, Dilworth, Myers Park, Plaza Midwood, NoDa, Commonwealth, University City, Mallard Creek and near the airport, plus the suburbs around the city.

Airbnb photography pricing in Charlotte NC varies widely — from budget options that deliver exactly what you’d expect, to professional packages built around what actually gets listings booked. Charlotte Pixels sits in the professional tier, intentionally. What you’re paying for matters more than the number itself. At the lower end of the Charlotte market, you’ll find photographers who shoot fast, edit minimally, and move on. That works for some listings. For hosts who want their property to stand out — where guests are comparing multiple listings in seconds — the quality of photography is the deciding factor. At Charlotte Pixels, pricing is based on the size of your property. Smaller spaces fall under the Pro package. Larger homes that need more coverage, more angles, and the full story told properly fall under the Airbnb Signature package. Both include professional editing, detail shots, and fast delivery. For exact pricing, add-ons like twilight conversion and grass replacement, and travel fee details, visit the pricing page.

Both the Pro and Airbnb Signature packages: 24–48 hours. Photos are delivered via a Dropbox link — download directly, upload straight to your listing. No chasing, no follow-ups. Payment is due on the day of the shoot before editing begins. Once that’s confirmed, the edit queue starts immediately.

This is one of the most important things you can do before shoot day. Staging matters more than most hosts realize — even the best photography can’t fix a cluttered countertop or a bed that isn’t made properly. The camera sees everything. I wrote a full guide on exactly what to do before I arrive: How to Stage Your Airbnb for a Photoshoot. Read it before your shoot day. Seriously.

Real estate photography is designed to sell a property to a buyer. Airbnb photography is designed to make a guest book before they even finish scrolling. Completely different goals. Real estate wants clean, neutral, and accurate. Airbnb wants warm, inviting, and experiential — it needs to make someone feel like they’re already there. The framing, the lighting approach, the choice of what to include and what to leave out — all of it shifts when the audience is a guest, not a buyer. If your listing looks like an MLS photo, it’s going to compete with every other listing. If it feels like a place someone wants to escape to, it stands alone.

Rather than scheduling a separate twilight shoot — which means more coordination, more time, and more cost — I offer twilight conversion as an add-on. Daytime exterior photos are converted into evening scenes with warm glowing windows and a beautiful sky. The result is realistic, effective, and a fraction of the cost of a separate twilight session.

Yes. Each unit is priced as a separate listing at the same package rates. Both units can be scheduled on the same shoot day so you’re not coordinating two separate visits. If you have more than two units, reach out before booking and we’ll sort out the logistics.

Head to the booking page and fill out the short form. Takes about two minutes. If you have questions before committing, use the contact form — I get back to you the same day.

There’s no fixed photo count — because that’s not how I work. The goal is to capture everything your listing needs to tell its story, not hit a number and stop. Smaller properties under the Pro package get complete coverage for the space. Larger homes under the Signature package get every room, every angle, every detail that matters — shot until the property is properly represented. What you won’t get is a set of 20 identical wide-angle frames that all look the same. What you will get is a gallery that covers the space the way a guest would experience it — from the moment they walk in to the corner they’d curl up in on a Sunday morning.
