Photographing 500 square feet of vintage charm
In a space this small, every frame needs to show how the room works as a whole. The ADU is one open room with a wood-plank ceiling, painted brick walls and woven bamboo shades, with the living area, kitchen and dining spot flowing into each other. I photographed it from each corner so guests can see how a leather sofa, a plaid wingback chair, a writing desk and a small kitchen island all fit together without feeling cramped.
The details that set the mood
The styling is what makes this place feel like a story:
- Vintage wooden tennis rackets mounted on the wall.
- Landscape oil paintings and a gallery of small framed prints.
- A green-cabinet kitchen with a retro-style refrigerator and pendant lights.
