Every time I walk back into a host’s space, it feels like catching up with an old friend—there’s always something new to discover. I had already done a photoshoot here a while ago, but when the host invited me back, she mentioned a few enhancements in the space. What I didn’t expect was how much love she had poured into the artwork and the backyard. The moment she walked me through her updates, I could already see the story waiting to be told through my eyes.

She left me at the airbnb to grab a coffee, and there I was—alone with the art, the space, and my camera. Honestly, that’s my favorite part. It’s not just about snapping a few updated photos; it’s about letting the walls speak, letting the bohemian style airbnb and the backyard shine, and making sure every detail the host carefully curated comes alive. That’s why professional Airbnb photography matters—it transforms spaces into experiences for future guests.

Call it over-staged, call it perfectly styled—I just call it a joy to capture. Money will always be a by-product, because what drives me is the passion for documenting the beautiful spaces that hosts create. And with this shoot, the photos don’t just highlight a rental—they highlight the personality, the art, and the soul behind it.

So yes, the host added the artwork, but my camera and I made sure it got the spotlight it deserves—and trust me, these photos are ready to brag for themselves.
Photographing a home that doubles as a gallery
This home is all about color and art: a green velvet sofa, yellow armchairs, a striped oval painting over the couch and a vintage poster by the wood stove. With this much going on, I kept every frame level and simple, with the furniture grouped so the art on the walls has room to breathe. White walls and warm wood floors tie it together.
The dining area got special attention. A round glass table with wood chairs sits under a brass globe chandelier, surrounded by framed prints, and I shot it from two angles so guests can see both the table and the art around it.
Why reshoots are worth it
This was my second shoot here. When a host makes real changes like new art, refreshed rooms or an updated backyard, the old photos stop telling the truth about the listing. Updating the gallery keeps guest expectations accurate and gives the listing a fresh start in search.
Details worth a close-up
- A black wood-burning stove that anchors the living room.
- A bedroom with a bold geometric quilt and a wood desk with a red chair.
- Gallery walls of framed prints in the hallway and dining room.
- A deep backyard with a mulched path into the trees.
